The abbreviation ac means alternating current, which means ac generator produces alternating current. The DC motor working is based on the principle of Lorentz law. The DC motor works on a Direct current by which the shaft rotates. We are going to discuss the working and state energy transformation of ac generator and Dc motor.

According to Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic induction, when the conductor coil is moved in the uniform magnetic field changes the magnetic flux produced, thus the emf is induced. It causes the current through the conductor.
The ac generator converts mechanical energy by rotating the shaft into electrical energy. so that the alternating current is produced in the conductor coil.
In a DC motor, whenever the current-carrying conductor is placed in a strong magnetic field, it experiences a force and starts rotating. The direction of rotation of the DC motor is based on Fleming’s left-hand rule.
The DC motor converts electrical energy into mechanical power by which the electricity is supplied to the DC motor, due to the presence of a magnetic field, torque is produced and the shaft is rotated.
