How do rotation and revolution affect the Earth?

Rotation of the Earth is responsible for the day and night to occur. Earth spins on its axis for all 24 hours.
Earth's axis is vertical , which means it runs up and down ; the axis runs from north pole to south pole. Earth takes around 24 hours to complete one rotation, which is one day. The face of the Earth which faces towards the sun has day and the side has night. Similarly , Earth reverses the spinning direction and day and night duration changes for different parts of the country.
