Hint: We know that the solution contains a mixture of the solute component and a solvent component. For identifying the concentration of solution moles are needed along with volume.
Complete step by step answer:
As we all know; the solution is one of the homogenous mixtures. In that mixture, two or more non reacting species are present, which has a similar composition throughout the whole process. The example of a solution is shown below.
${\rm{NaCl}} + {{\rm{H}}_{\rm{2}}}{\rm{O}} \to {\rm{NaOH}} + {\rm{HCl}}$
Solvent: The solvent is that quantity which is present in a large amount in any aqueous solution. It also contains solute. When the solvent is water, then the renowned term aqueous solution is used for that solvent. The example of solvent is shown below.
${\rm{NaCl}} + {{\rm{H}}_{\rm{2}}}{\rm{O}} \to {\rm{NaOH}} + {\rm{HCl}}$
According to the above reaction, the solvent of this reaction is water.
Solute: The solute is that quantity which can be present in the solvent and has a lower amount than the solvent. The example of solute is shown below.
${\rm{NaCl}} + {{\rm{H}}_{\rm{2}}}{\rm{O}} \to {\rm{NaOH}} + {\rm{HCl}}$
According to the above reaction, the solute of this reaction is sodium chloride.
Concentration: The concentration can be defined with the help of solute and solvent. The concentration is that quantity in which solute is dissolved in the solvent. The concentration has other names also they are molarity and molar concentration. The formula of concentration is shown below.${\rm{Molarity}} = \dfrac{{{\rm{Number}}\;{\rm{of}}\;{\rm{moles}}}}{{{\rm{Volume}}}}$
Note:
These quantities are generally coming under the branch of physical chemistry. They are affected by increasing or decreasing in the temperature and the pressure.
