Now the give inequality is $ - 8x > 24 $ ,
Divide both sides with 8, we get,
\[ \Rightarrow \dfrac{{ - 8x}}{8} > \dfrac{{24}}{8}\] ,
Now simplify the equation we get,
\[ \Rightarrow - x > 3\] ,
Now multiply both sides with negative sign we get,
