Does February has 29 days?

We will look at both the kind of years that is normal as well as a leap year.
We know that a general year has 365 days. These 365 days are distributed as follows:
January – 31
February – 28
March – 31
April – 30

June – 30
July – 31
August – 31

November – 30
December – 31
Now, these total sum up to 365 which completely forms a year.
Now, we also know that a leap year has 366 days and they are distributed as follows:

July – 31
August – 31
September – 30
October – 31
November – 30
December – 31
Now, we see that February does consist of 29 days.

Hence, February does have 29 days but only in leap years.

The students must know the fact about a leap year because it is very interesting and useful. A leap year occurs every fourth year. For it 2000 was a leap year, then 2004 will also be a leap year. Every year we get an increase of one-fourth of a day. Thus, every fourth year, we get a complete day which eventually accounts for 366 days in that year.
