Hint: In this question, we need to construct a triangle DEF, also given that \[DE = 8\ cm\], \[DF = 7.2\ cm\] and \[EF = 6.3\ cm\] . Here we will use the concept of the construction of triangles .We will construct the required triangle by using the given details in the question. Using a ruler and scale , we can construct a triangle DEF. First, we can draw the base of the triangle. Then by using the compass, we can draw two arcs above the baseline. Then finally we need to join the arc with the baseline. Using this we get our required triangle DEF.
Complete step by step solution:
Given, \[DE = 8\ cm\], \[DF = 7.2\ cm\] and \[EF = 6.3\ cm\]. Here we need to construct a triangle DEF. First, we can draw the base of the triangle of length \[8\] cm and we can name it as DE. Then we need to take a length of \[7.2\] cm in the compass and mark an arc at F with D as the centre that is above the base line DE.
Next again we need to take a length of \[6.3\] cm in the compass and mark an arc at F with E as the centre that is above the base line DE. Finally, we need to join DF and EF. Thus we have constructed a triangle.
Note: In order to solve these types of questions, the main thing that we need to remember is the steps of constructions. We should not get confused about taking the bases of the triangle. Even if the base is taken as \[7.2\] cm, then also our triangle would be the same. So we need not get confused with the base of the triangle. We should also be careful while marking the arc of the triangle.
